HiHi Labs takes a small number of engagements a year, almost always by referral, and builds fine-tuned systems around what a client actually does — not a template they have to bend themselves around. We’re not chasing volume. We’re building the kind of working relationships that last years, not invoices.
Agencies are built to fill a pipeline. We’re built to go deep on a small number of relationships and stay in them.
No ads, no cold outreach, no contact form pointed at the whole internet. If you found this page, someone who already works with us sent you.
We build for the actual shape of your operation — your workflows, your data, your edge cases — not a SaaS product you have to conform to.
Most of what we build, we keep maintaining. The clients we keep are the ones we’re still working with years later — that’s the model, not the exception.
Design, build, and the infrastructure it runs on — the same two people, start to finish. That’s why engagements start around $15K, and why we say so upfront.
Started in privacy-first systems — encrypted messaging, data protection, infrastructure built on the assumption someone’s always watching. That instinct carried straight into everything HiHi Labs runs now: self-hosted end to end, nothing handed to a platform we don’t control.
Runs the stack top to bottom — backend, data, and the servers it all lives on.
A UX soldier before it was a title — brought eight companies back from the edge of irrelevant, one interface at a time, before teaming up with Andrew to build HiHi Labs (Studios, eventually).
Owns the part clients actually touch: the interface, the brand, the first impression.
We took client work off the front page a while back — it read like an agency reel. This is the short version: what a real engagement with us looks like.
Our longest-running relationship. Work orders, asset tracking, and site history running through a CRM built around how their techs actually move through a job — not a generic field-service product they had to adapt to.
Underneath it: CamAgent, a computer-vision pipeline we built specifically for their crews — it reads equipment nameplates and job-site photos straight off a phone and turns them into structured asset records. This is what “fine-tuned to a niche” means in practice.
A full rebuild for a nonprofit cycling program — custom CMS, content in five languages, an impact dashboard, delivered on a nonprofit's timeline. We don't take every project like this, but we take some, because the work mattered more than the invoice.
See the buildSigns, graphics, and visual displays — built alongside Ray Jones and Michael Dexter, not for them. The portfolio pulls straight from their own Google Drive; a new project folder goes live the moment they drop it in, no CMS to fight.
See the buildUnderground music meets street clothing — a streetwear label's full storefront, built as a straight Django shop with collab drops alongside Cookies SF.
See the buildPassion projects, self-funded, run for communities that usually get software built for someone else — or nothing. This is where new ideas get tested before anyone pays for them.
We keep this quiet on purpose — the introduction usually means more than the pitch would. If that's how you found us, say who.
